Stripe Connect guide
Last updated August 4, 2026
Connecting your Stripe account lets SimpleStat show real revenue on your dashboard instead of an estimated goal value, no code changes needed on your site.
This tab only shows up for sites set to track revenue (SaaS or E-commerce, chosen when you added the site). If your site is set up for form submissions or leads instead, there's nothing to connect here since there's no revenue to track.
Connecting
In SimpleStat, go to Settings > Stripe and click Connect Stripe. You'll be sent to Stripe to sign in and authorize SimpleStat, this is your own Stripe account, entirely separate from SimpleStat's own billing. Once you're back, you're connected, there's nothing else to configure on Stripe's side: no webhook setup, no code changes.
If your Stripe account is in test mode, Settings will show "Connected (test mode)" so you know the numbers you're seeing aren't real payments yet.
What data comes in
SimpleStat records the total amount of each completed checkout and paid invoice from your Stripe account as it happens. It's aggregate revenue, not tied to an individual visitor, so there's no extra tracking code or checkout changes required.
Where this shows up
Once connected, your dashboard's Revenue and Revenue per visitor tiles, along with the Revenue column in the Goal table, switch from the estimated goal value to your real Stripe totals. Click the Revenue tile to see the underlying charges.
Disconnecting
Disconnecting stops new Stripe data from coming in and reverts revenue figures back to your goals' fixed values. Your Stripe account itself isn't affected.
